About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Engineer to lead, plan, and manage offshore engineering and installation activities throughout the project lifecycle. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, technically sound, and efficient execution of offshore construction projects while providing leadership and technical support to project teams both onshore and offshore.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Project Execution

• Lead and manage field engineering activities for offshore transportation and installation projects.
• Review project technical documentation and ensure engineering deliverables meet contractual and project requirements.
• Develop and review installation procedures, drawings, method statements, engineering calculations, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate engineering inputs across project, fabrication, procurement, and construction teams.
• Support tendering and bidding activities by reviewing technical requirements and providing engineering inputs.

Offshore Construction Support

• Provide technical leadership and support during offshore and onshore construction activities.
• Ensure offshore personnel fully understand project procedures, installation requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Act as the focal point for technical queries and engineering issues arising during project execution.
• Support offshore installations, load out operations, transportation activities, and project execution campaigns.
• Review Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) and monitor project progress against schedule.

Technical Planning & Coordination

• Perform engineering reviews, technical calculations, rigging assessments, and installation verification.
• Plan transportation and installation activities, including barge layouts, load out arrangements, and offshore execution strategies.
• Coordinate project resources to ensure engineering deliverables are completed according to project schedules.
• Monitor project performance and identify solutions to technical and operational challenges.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and project team members.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, subcontractors, clients, and offshore personnel.
• Represent the engineering team during technical reviews, risk assessments, and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Petroleum/Marine Engineering or equivalent discipline from recognized institution.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Field Engineer.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a Lead Field Engineer capacity.
• Hands-on experience in Offshore Transportation & Installation (T&I) and/or EPCIC projects.
• Experience supporting offshore construction and installation campaigns is highly desirable.
