About the Role:

We are seeking an IT Operations – Disaster Recovery & Governance Coordinator to support IT operational governance by overseeing disaster recovery (DR) readiness, IT policies, operational risk, and compliance activities. This role will work closely with IT Operations, Infrastructure, Information Security, Risk, and Business stakeholders to ensure governance standards are maintained and disaster recovery capabilities remain effective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and maintain the organization's IT Disaster Recovery (DR) framework, policies, and procedures.
• Plan, facilitate, and document Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises, simulations, and annual testing.
• Track remediation actions arising from DR tests, audits, and risk assessments to ensure timely closure.
• Ensure Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) are reviewed and aligned with business requirements.
• Maintain IT operational governance documentation, including policies, standards, SOPs, and runbooks.
• Monitor compliance with internal IT governance standards, regulatory requirements, and audit recommendations.
• Support internal and external IT audits by preparing evidence, documentation, and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate operational risk assessments and identify opportunities to improve IT resilience and service continuity.
• Prepare governance reports, dashboards, and management presentations on DR readiness, compliance status, and operational risks.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Application teams to ensure governance requirements are embedded into operational processes.
• Promote governance best practices and continuous improvement across IT Operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Good understanding of IT Governance, Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BCP), and Operational Risk Management.
• Familiarity with governance frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, or similar standards.
• Experience coordinating DR testing, audits, compliance reviews, or governance initiatives.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, backup, and recovery concepts is preferred.
• Strong documentation, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL Foundation, COBIT, ISO 22301, CISA, CRISC, or PMP are an advantage.

Pay: Up to RM12,000.00 per hour
