Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Executive – Human Resource & Administration to join a well-established retail mall developer and operator in Malaysia.

The successful candidate will be permanently based in Ipoh upon the opening of a new mall and must be willing to undergo approximately 1 year of on-the-job training in Penang prior to the commencement of operations in Ipoh.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end HR functions including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, and employee engagement.
• Handle employee lifecycle matters including confirmation, transfers, promotions, disciplinary matters, and employee relations.
• Coordinate payroll, benefits, leave administration, and other HR operational processes.
• Implement HR policies and ensure compliance with employment legislation and company standards.
• Maintain accurate HR records, documentation, and statutory requirements.
• Support office administration, facilities, and general workplace operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably within retail, property, hospitality, or a fast-paced environment.
• Good knowledge of the Malaysia Employment Act and HR operational practices.
• Hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, and HR administration.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Willing to be based in Penang for approximately 1 year for on-the-job training before being permanently based in Ipoh.
