We're Hiring: Accountant (RTR – Record to Report)

Location: Penang, Malaysia (Onsite)

Employment Type: 1-Year Contract

We are looking for an experienced Accountant (RTR) to join a Global Shared Services team. In this role, you will manage month-end close and financial reporting activities for multiple countries/entities while collaborating with Corporate Finance and cross-functional teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end and year-end close activities within established timelines
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Support financial reporting, schedules, and variance analysis
• Manage intercompany accounting activities and reconciliations
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and local finance teams
• Support internal and external audit requirements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Support ERP implementation, migration, and system enhancement projects

Requirements:

• Experience in Record-to-Report (RTR) / General Ledger accounting
• Strong knowledge of month-end closing and financial reporting processes
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms preferred)
• Experience in a Shared Services or multinational environment is an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
