About the Role

We are looking for a technically strong and customer-oriented Field Application Engineer to support key partners and customers in the adoption, deployment, and optimisation of computing and AI solutions built on ARM-based CPU/NPU platforms. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and customer enablement — you will be hands-on with code, close to customers, and instrumental in driving the success of AI and computing solutions in the field.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist key customers in setting up development environments, compiling software, and porting applications to the ARM platform; promote the adoption of AI frameworks and resolve related technical issues.

- Analyse performance bottlenecks in customer applications and drive improvements through code optimisation; support customers in conducting performance benchmarking and testing.

- Investigate and resolve abnormal issues in customer software, supercomputing platforms, and AI model deployment and operations to ensure business continuity.

- Conduct product and technology training sessions for partners and customers to enhance understanding and utilisation of ARM-based CPU/NPU technologies and solutions.

- Collaborate with partners to design, build, port, and adapt general computing and intelligent computing solutions from concept through to delivery.

Requirements

- Solid understanding of cloud and computing concepts, with hands-on experience in the design, planning, execution, or operation of related projects; familiarity with industry products, solutions, and business logic in the cloud and computing space.

- Proficient in one or more programming languages including C, C++, Fortran, Java, Python, or .NET; strong programming fundamentals with good coding practices and habits.

- Proficient in Linux operating systems with practical experience in software development and debugging within Linux environments.

- Foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence concepts including deep learning, machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing; hands-on experience with mainstream AI frameworks such as PyTorch, MindSpore, or PaddlePaddle, including model training, precision/performance tuning, and inference deployment.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills with clear logical thinking, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
