1. Job Summary

The Warehouse Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and controlling raw materials, packaging materials, ingredients, and finished goods in the warehouse. Ensures proper stock rotation, accurate inventory records, and supports production needs for a bakery manufacturing environment.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Receiving & Incoming Goods

• Receive materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished products according to delivery orders.
• Check and verify quantity, quality, expiry date, batch number, and condition of goods.
• Record incoming materials into the system (manual or electronic).
• Report discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.

B. Storage & Stock Handling

• Ensure proper storage based on product type (frozen, chilled, dry, packaging).
• Implement FIFO/FEFO stock rotation.
• Label and arrange materials neatly and systematically.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety compliance (GMP, HACCP standards).

C. Issuance & Stock Distribution

• Issue materials/ingredients to production based on approved requisition forms.
• Ensure accurate and timely material supply to avoid production delays.
• Record all stock movement promptly.

D. Inventory Control

• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
• Assist in investigating stock variances.
• Update the inventory system accurately.
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisor for low-stock items.

E. Warehouse Operations & Safety

• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation at all times.
• Follow proper food handling and safety practices.
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks (if certified).
• Comply with company SOPs, 5S, and safety regulations.

3. Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of warehouse/storekeeping experience (preferably in food/bakery/FMCG).
• Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory systems).
• Able to handle physical work and manual lifting.
• Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO and basic stock management.
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently.

4. Additional Preferences

• Experience with chilled and frozen storage handling (added advantage).
• Forklift license is preferred.
• Able to work overtime or shift if required.
