Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or a related discipline. •
Minimum 10 years’ experience in contracts and commercial management for infrastructure, industrial park, or large-scale property development projects. •
Experience with FIDIC or similar standard forms of contract is advantageous. •
Strong exposure to claims management, commercial negotiations, and contract dispute resolution. •
Proven ability to manage multiple contracts of varying scale and complexity simultaneously. •
Exposure to industrial development, free zones, residential, or government-linked infrastructure projects would be an advantage. •
Minimum 8 years’ leadership experience, with a demonstrable ability to manage, coach, and build highperforming teams. •
Strong understanding of contract law, procurement governance, compliance frameworks, and statutory regulations. •
Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and ownership in driving successful outcomes and achieving targets. •
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of internal and external parties. •

Responsibilities
Accountable for the effective end-to-end contract management lifecycle and expenditure control for infrastructure and industrial development projects within the Group Property Division.
Ensure awarded contracts remain within approved project budgets and that accurate records of all payment transactions are maintained.
Ensure all projects comply with contractual regulations and GPD governance frameworks, from tender initiation through contract award and contract administration.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Finance, and external stakeholders while undertaking the following responsibilities:
Oversee and guide subordinates in contract preparation, negotiation, execution, monitoring, and contract close-out, ensuring full compliance with contract regulations.
Ensure tender and contract documentation is reviewed and captures all relevant contractual clauses specific to each project.
Proactively manage variation orders, track project expenditures and payments, and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations. Ensure potential disputes are identified early, properly documented, and prepared for effective resolution.
Provide timely and practical contractual advice to project teams, management, and external stakeholders as required.
Establish and maintain a structured contract management framework tailored to industrial development and infrastructure projects.
Develop and maintain standardized contract templates and procedures in line with GPD's and MMC Group's requirements.
Ensure subordinates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively support Project Managers on contractual and procurement matters.
Ensure all project and departmental documentation is securely stored, systematically organized, and readily accessible with appropriate backup controls.
Lead, support, and manage contractual claims, dispute resolution, and negotiations with contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities.
Act as a People Champion by driving the development of skills, knowledge, and professional growth of subordinates through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
