Role Description The BIM Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Putrajaya. This role is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining Building Information Models (BIM) for various development projects, ensuring accurate and up-to-date digital representations of architectural, structural, and MEP components. The BIM Executive collaborates closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to coordinate design information, resolve model-related issues, and support clash detection and design validation. Day-to-day tasks include setting up BIM standards, templates, and workflows; performing model audits and quality checks; preparing BIM documentation and reports; and supporting the integration of BIM data into project planning, cost estimation, and facility management processes. The role also involves training and supporting project team members in BIM tools and best practices, and contributing to the continuous improvement of BIM processes within the organization.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in BIM software and tools such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related 3D modeling and coordination platforms.
- Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP drawing interpretation, construction processes, and building codes or standards.
- Experience in BIM coordination, clash detection, model auditing, and data management across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ability to develop and implement BIM standards, execution plans, templates, and workflows for large-scale property development projects.
- Relevant academic background in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; professional BIM certifications are an advantage.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple models and deadlines simultaneously.
- Prior experience in property development or large infrastructure projects in Malaysia or the region is beneficial.
