About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from tender through final account. You will work closely with project managers, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

This role will be based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to identify project requirements.
  • Source quotations and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare tender submissions and commercial proposals.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and recommend appointments.
  • Manage project costs, monitor expenditures, and maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare progress claims, variation orders (VO), extension of time (EOT) submissions, and final accounts.
  • Assess and certify subcontractor progress claims and payments.
  • Track project variations and ensure all commercial changes are properly documented.
  • Administer construction contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to monitor project progress and financial performance.
  • Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and commercial analyses for management.
  • Maintain accurate records of project documentation, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Support procurement activities and material cost evaluations where required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in façade, curtain wall, aluminium, glazing, or building envelope projects will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering procedures, and cost management.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Singapore construction practices and contract forms (e.g. SIA, PSSCOC, FIDIC) is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with quantity surveying, estimating, or project management software is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Meticulous, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
