Project Engineer

Job Description

Insulmech Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a dedicated and proactive Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and supervise industrial insulation and mechanical projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with client specifications, Company standards, and applicable laws and regulations. This role requires frequent travel to project sites throughout Malaysia. When not deployed to project sites, you will be based at the Company's Nilai Workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise project activities from commencement to completion.
• Lead and manage project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, quality, safety, manpower, materials, and project costs.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and resolve site-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain project reports, documentation, records, and progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, client requirements, OSHA, FMA, and other applicable laws and regulations.
• Attend site meetings, inspections, and project coordination activities.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance project performance and efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in project engineering, field operations, industrial construction, or project planning. Motivated and career-driven engineers who are eager to learn and grow are encouraged to apply.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lead project teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
• Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of engineering codes, standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Possess good discipline, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Must be medically fit and in good health and able to pass client/site security screening, medical examination, and e-vetting where applicable.
• Possess a valid driving licence and be willing to travel to project sites throughout Malaysia.
• Must be willing to be based at the Company's Nilai Workshop when not assigned to project sites.
• Must comply with all Company policies, safety regulations, and project site requirements.

Please note that the work location will be based on project site assignments and may vary depending on operational requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From RM3,200.00 per month
