About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Executive to join their Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with statutory requirements and company policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll accurately and on schedule for employees across assigned business units.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, resignations, salary adjustments, allowances, deductions, bonuses, overtime, and leave records.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit statutory contributions and payroll-related reports to the relevant authorities within required deadlines.
  • Reconcile payroll data and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure payroll information is complete and accurate.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, salary payments, tax, and statutory deductions in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support payroll audits by preparing documentation and reports as required.
  • Generate payroll reports and provide analysis to management when needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information and ensure data security.
  • Participate in payroll system improvements, testing, and process enhancement initiatives.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 1–5 years of experience in payroll administration or a related HR operations role.
  • Good understanding of payroll processes, statutory compliance, and employment regulations.
  • Experience using HRIS and payroll systems is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines.
  • Experience working in a shared services or multinational environment.
  • Familiarity with payroll automation tools and HR systems.
  • Knowledge of process improvement or continuous improvement practices.
