About the Role
We are looking for a meticulous and responsible Accounts Executive to support the Finance team in managing the company's day-to-day accounting functions. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting reporting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full or partial sets of accounts, depending on business requirements.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
- Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules, and account reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Monitor customer collections and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Process supplier payments and ensure timely settlement of invoices.
- Assist with GST submissions, tax filings, and statutory compliance.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing the necessary documentation.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, government authorities, and other external stakeholders when required.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.
- Perform any other accounting or administrative duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
- Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, MYOB, or Microsoft Dynamics is an added advantage.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
