Job Summary:

The BIM Coordinator is responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models, ensuring compliance with project BIM standards, facilitating clash detection and resolution, and supporting the BIM Manager in delivering high-quality BIM deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

BIM Coordination

• Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist BIM models.
• Combine discipline models into federated models.
• Perform model reviews to ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plan (BEP), client requirements, and project standards.
• Ensure models are correctly positioned using agreed project coordinates.

Clash Detection & Coordination

• Perform clash detection using Autodesk Navisworks or equivalent software.
• Generate clash reports and assign issues to respective disciplines.
• Track clash resolution until closure.
• Monitor coordination progress and report outstanding issues.

Model Quality Assurance

• Review models for:

o Model accuracy

o Naming conventions

o Levels of Development (LOD)

o Family standards

o Data completeness

• Ensure BIM deliverables meet project quality requirements.

Project Coordination

• Attend BIM coordination meetings.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and BIM modelers.
• Record meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
• Support design coordination between disciplines.

Documentation

• Prepare:

o Clash Reports

o Coordination Reports

o Model Status Reports

o Weekly BIM Progress Reports

• Maintain model revision history.

Common Data Environment (CDE)

• Manage document and model uploads to Autodesk Forma (ACC)
• Ensure proper folder structure and version control.
• Review submitted models before publishing.

Technical Support

• Provide technical guidance to BIM Modelers.
• Assist project teams in resolving BIM-related issues.
• Support model setup and template implementation.

Experience

• 3–7 years of BIM coordination experience.
• Experience on large-scale building or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models.
