Job description:

The required person shall report to the Head of Finance & Accounts in financial reporting, budget preparation, compliance while contributing to the overall financial strategy of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Record and categorize financial transactions in accounting software.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheet.
• Generate regular financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations. Prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits. Provide documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
• Recommend and implement improvements to financial systems and processes. Streamline accounting procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations. Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information. Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or final stage Professional Accounting certification would be an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of finance/accounting-related experience preferably in logistics related companies.
• Thorough understanding of the local tax laws and regulations.
• Fluency in both oral and written English and Bahasa Malaysia would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgetary controls and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
