Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Packing Supervisor to oversee daily packaging and shipping operations. In this role, you will lead a team of packing staff to ensure goods are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently while meeting quality specifications and shipment deadlines. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a solid background in warehouse workflows, safety regulations, and inventory tracking.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Team & Operations Management
Supervise, delegate, and coordinate daily packing tasks to meet shipping schedules and productivity targets.
Train, onboard, and mentor new packing staff on standards, safety, and operational workflows.
Manage shift schedules, monitor performance, and enforce workplace policies.
2. Quality Control & Compliance
Inspect packed items and outer packaging to ensure compliance with company standards, labeling rules, and weight/dimension limits.
Stop packing operations when material defects or standard mismatches occur.
3. Inventory & Logistics Coordination
Monitor packaging supplies (boxes, tape, protective wraps, labels) and request replenishment to prevent operational delays.
Collaborate with warehouse, production, quality control, and logistics teams to maintain an efficient workflow.
4. Process Optimization & Reporting
Identify bottlenecks in the packing line and propose process improvements to cut waste and improve packing efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 2–4+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing packaging environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, conflict resolution, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
