Data Centre M&E Installation Project Engineer / Site Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Centre M&E Installation Project Engineer / Site Engineer to manage the installation, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical and mechanical systems for data centre and building infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate should possess strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering and M&E commissioning and be willing to travel to Malaysia when required for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete commissioning process from pre-commissioning through final project handover.
• Prepare and execute commissioning plans, procedures, schedules and documentation.
• Coordinate commissioning activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to quality standards.
• Perform site inspections, risk assessments and resolve technical issues during commissioning.
• Lead testing, inspection and validation of M&E systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, EMA requirements and applicable industry standards.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, technical manuals and commissioning documentation.
• Supervise subcontractors and commissioning personnel while ensuring compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), HSE and quality requirements.
• Monitor commissioning progress and prepare reports for project managers, clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct post-commissioning reviews and recommend process improvements.
• Travel or be deployed to project sites in Singapore and Malaysia as required.

Technical Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of:High-voltage (HV) electrical systemsLow-voltage (LV) electrical systemsSwitchboardsTransformersGenerator setsElectrical distribution systems
• Perform commissioning, calibration, operational testing and troubleshooting of HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
• Coordinate the integration and commissioning between electrical and HVAC systems.
• Ensure all installation and commissioning activities comply with Singapore EMA requirements, Workplace Safety & Health regulations and applicable engineering standards.

Requirements

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Possess a valid Singapore EMA-recognised electrical qualification or licence relevant to the role (please specify the licence held in your application).
• Experience in the installation, testing and commissioning of HV/LV electrical systems, switchboards, transformers and generator sets.
• Experience in M&E, data centre, industrial, commercial or critical infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
• Experience with HVAC commissioning and integration is preferred.
• Able to read electrical schematics, single-line diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting, coordination and communication skills.
• Willing to travel to Malaysia for short-term project assignments when required.
