We are looking for a UI/UX Technical Protégé to join our digital product team under the imSME Protégé Programme. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who are passionate about creating intuitive digital experiences and eager to learn UI/UX design in a real-world product environment. The ideal candidate understands core UX principles, can translate problems into clear wireframes and simple prototypes, and is curious, coachable, and open to feedback. We value candidates who think in systems and user journeys, not just individual screens.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing user-centered interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Translate business and user problems into wireframes, flows, and simple prototypes.
  • Participate in user research, usability testing, and UX improvements.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to deliver effective digital solutions.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of design systems and UI components.
  • Ensure designs follow usability, accessibility, and responsive design principles.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in UI/UX Design, Multimedia Design, Computer Science, HCI, Graphic Design, or related fields.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • A portfolio demonstrating UX thinking and design process (not just visual UI) is required.
  • Understanding of UX fundamentals such as user research, user flows, usability, and accessibility.
  • Ability to translate problems into structured design solutions.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools.
  • Basic understanding of wireframing and prototyping.
  • Exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and full-stack development concepts is an advantage.
  • Basic awareness of data privacy, authentication flows, and secure digital practices.
  • Ability to translate complex problems into simple, clear design solutions.
  • Ability to think in systems and user journeys, not just individual screens.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,000.00 per month
