Job Description

Responsibilities

The Finance Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the accuracy and integrity of all financial accounting and corporate reporting. This position actively supports strategic planning through budgeting, forecasting, and asset valuation while driving effective working capital management. The Finance Manager is also responsible for coordinating internal and external audits, establishing robust internal controls to mitigate risk, and leveraging financial information systems to deliver actionable data and comprehensive reports to management and external stakeholders.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting and Corporate Reporting

  • Supervise the finance team in daily financial accounting and corporate reporting operations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements alongside comprehensive disclosure notes.
  • Maintain precise journal entries and financial allocations.
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and thoroughly analyzing account information.
  • Reconcile accounts and provide in-depth analysis of the organization’s financial transactions.

2. Strategic Planning and Working Capital Management

  • Participate actively in organizational budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Compute the valuation of business and financial assets utilizing various financial models.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivables to accurately determine working capital needs and develop funding strategies.
  • Calculate the cost of different types of capital financial instruments and assess the overall cost of capital for the organization.
  • Provide critical data and insights in relation to assets, capital rationing, and the cost of capital to support executive decision-making.

3. Audit and Internal Controls

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the annual internal and external financial audit processes.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external auditors regarding audit data, variances, and specific audit findings.
  • Implement and enforce financial policies and procedures, placing a strong emphasis on internal controls to prevent possible fraud and errors.
  • Address, rectify, and resolve any issues or procedural deficiencies highlighted during audit findings.

4. Financial Systems and Reporting

  • Operate and manage accounting information systems efficiently and effectively to process business transactions.
  • Extract financial data and provide comprehensive analysis for management utilizing relevant accounting software.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, business activity reports, and financial forecasts for management and external stakeholders.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
