The Quality Specialist’s main role is to support the Lead Quality Specialist with the planning, implementation, and efficient running of the department. This position is essential in ensuring the smooth execution of the Quality Centre Checklist Revised (QCCR) and the organisation’s overarching quality journey. The Quality Specialist assists with budget planning, develops resources to support NFC's quality standards, and manages the operational and administrative functions of the department. By maintaining rigorous tracking and providing on-the-ground support, this role enables centers to achieve high quality and regulatory compliance.

1. SPARK

• Performance Tracking: Maintain accurate tracking of SPARK centre status and performance

to ensure organisational benchmarks are met.

• Self-Appraisal Coordination: Support centres with the preparation and submission of

Self-Appraisal (SA) reports to ensure timely accreditation cycles

• Data Analysis: Analyse SPARK data to identify systemic trends and inform areas of

opportunity for ongoing training and coaching interventions.

2. Training and Coaching

• Training Liaison: Liaise with the Learning Delivery team and stakeholders on all

training-related logistics and scheduling requirements.

• Resource Development: Create practical resources and tools that support the

understanding and consistent application of the SPARK 2.0 framework.

• Delivery & Enablement: Conduct training sessions to enable staff to apply SPARK 2.0

standards effectively and provide coaching to CQMs and leaders to drive center-level

improvements.

3. QCCR

• Cycle Management: Support planning and scheduling of QCCR, while acting as the point of

liaison during the process.

• Validation & Review: Serve as a Validator for QCCR, review QCCR and SMR reports for

accuracy, and support the calibration and moderation of these reports with other

validators.

• Data Analysis: Analyse QCCR data to identify systemic trends and inform areas of

opportunity for ongoing training and coaching interventions.

4. QM Portal Administration

• Operational Oversight: Support the daily operations of the Quality Management (QM)

Portal, ensuring the system effectively serves center and departmental needs.

• Technical Support: Troubleshoot end-user issues and provide guidance to centre staff on

portal navigation.

• System Optimization: Propose ongoing enhancements to improve the usability and

data-collection capabilities of the portal.

5. SPARK Achievement & Regulatory Support

• Targeted Intervention: Provide direct support to centres to enable them to meet required

regulatory KPIs under the Anchor Operating Partner (AOP).

• Data Synthesis: Analyse SPARK tracking data to monitor progress and share findings.

6. Operational Support

• Administrative Management: Track SPARK registration progress and payment, process

departmental invoices, and manage the sourcing and procurement of SPARK banners and

materials.

• Process Improvement: Survey stakeholders to gather insights for system improvements

and maintain the Quality Calendar to ensure visibility of all key deadlines.

• Ad-hoc Duties: Undertake additional tasks as assigned to support the broader goals of the

Quality unit

Others

• Support Lead QS on the planning and implementation of SPARK at NFC preschools

Education

• Minimally a Bachelor degree in early childhood or related discipline

Experience

• At least 5 years experience as a centre leader

• Led one or more centres through SPARK, preferably a commendation centre

Skills and Attributes

• Clear understanding of SPARK 2.0 tool

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Able to develop and conduct training

• Able to perform data analysis

• Strong planning and project implementation skills
