Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network Engineer to support TNB’s cloud network infrastructure operations and management. The role will be responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and optimising multi-cloud network environments while ensuring security, reliability, and high availability.
Work Location: Onsite (Resident Engineer)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deploy, operate, manage, and maintain cloud network infrastructure across multi-cloud environments.
- Design and manage cloud networking components including:
- IP addressing, subnets, routing, virtual networks, gateways, hubs, and multi-Availability Zone (AZ) architecture
- Internet Gateway (IGW), Network Access Control Lists (NACLs), Security Groups (SGs), NAT, DNS, DHCP, NTP, load balancing, and Network-as-a-Service (NaaS)
- Disaster recovery and network resilience solutions
- Perform network connectivity testing and validation between TNB’s on-premise environment and cloud infrastructure.
- Optimise cloud network resources for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement and maintain network policies, configurations, and security controls according to business and technical requirements.
- Perform regular backup of network configurations and support cloud network disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Monitor compliance with defined security standards and policies, and highlight potential non-compliance issues.
- Collaborate with product architects, platform architects, and solution architects on cloud architecture and network design.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documents, and network configuration records.
- Support troubleshooting, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of cloud network services.
