Job Summary

The SAP SuccessFactors Project Manager (PM) will oversee all stages of the project and project delivery. The responsibilities include assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities and enforcing accountability, developing and maintaining a budget and schedule to ensure timely completion of the project, maintaining standard project management documentation and metrics with limited direction, working directly with internal and external client counterparts, other project leads, and ongoing operations to deliver successful implementation, and managing the scope of the project. The Project Manager will also promote team engagement and build a successful relationship with the client.

  • Lead AMS team and/or ad‑hoc projects, ranging from SAP SuccessFactors modules to integration projects using SAP CPI.
  • May participate in sales opportunities and process.
  • Act as a coach or buddy for Associate PM or a PM.
  • Participate in building the practice initiatives.
  • Manage SAP SuccessFactors implementations through all life cycle stages.
  • Work with the Client PM to develop the project plan and project charter, including procedures for managing actions, risks and issues throughout the project.
  • Communicate project plan to ensure a common understanding and align stakeholders and team members.
  • Implement approved actions and workarounds to mitigate project risks and minimize impact on the project.
  • Execute the tasks defined in the project plan to achieve the project goals.
  • Monitor and control project work, measure performance using appropriate tools and techniques, report progress against plan and budget, identify variances, perform corrective actions and communicate to stakeholders.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, roles & responsibilities, and costs using appropriate verification techniques; facilitate customer acceptance.
  • Obtain required sign‑offs (stage, milestone, design, Stage Gate Reviews, Change Order sign‑offs, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Formalize final acceptance for the project from the sponsor/customer, ensuring delivered product(s) comply with agreed deliverables lists, scope, and organizational procedures.
  • Ensure the end‑of‑project survey is sent to the client and conduct project lessons learned.
  • Provide information to internal and external parties and represent the organization to customers and other external sources.
  • Align and manage resources and budget, execute resource allocation plan, and monitor the project budget and margin, taking corrective actions when required.
  • Celebrate accomplishments formally or informally.
  • Introduce the Strada project team members to the project, manage, guide, and motivate them, set clear vision, expectations, and milestones, and facilitate effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Manage client billing with support from a Project Coordinator, ensuring time spent on the project work is reported against the correct project codes and charged to the client.
  • Contribute to practice building by sharing documented lessons learned, deliverables, and internal methodology initiatives.
  • Understand and monitor quality standards for own work and the work of team members, providing feedback as appropriate.
  • Follow Strada Deployment Methodology, suggest improvements, and proactively address issues.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships, communicate feedback to leadership, and plan and execute adequate knowledge transfer within SOW scope to enable the client to be self‑sufficient in administering Workday post go‑live.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce the customer to Strada's ongoing support offering and ensure timely handover to the support team if the service is purchased.
  • Measure customer satisfaction at the end of the project by capturing feedback using appropriate techniques to maintain and improve long‑term relationships.
Required Knowledge, Education, Certification, Skills & Technical Proficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Math, Computer Science, or Finance.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Ability to recognize personal skills, strengths, and limitations and pursue developmental activities to strengthen skills and experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced multinational environment and adapt to frequent change.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Commercial acumen – understanding what drives project revenue and profitability.
  • Ability to manage project budgets and forecasting to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Good understanding of project management processes and techniques – planning, progress tracking, risk and issue management frameworks, change control frameworks, and sign‑off procedures.
  • SAP SuccessFactors certified project manager or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support team building.
  • Ability to advocate a creative atmosphere, facilitate entrepreneurial meetings, and envision final product and market acceptance early in design and development.
  • Ability to develop cooperative relationships, achieve results through win‑win relationships, and establish alliances with other departments and organizations by recognizing dependencies.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge to more junior colleagues and coach others.
  • Ability to provide best‑practice advice to help clients establish effective project structure and governance framework.
  • Ability to modify project deployment approach to meet client‑specific requirements while supporting Strada’s business needs.
  • General understanding of SAP SuccessFactors functionality (different modules and dependencies) and implementation tools.
  • Awareness of cultural diversity and the ability to incorporate it into decision‑making.
  • Project planning, scheduling, and budgeting skills.
  • Ability to identify project risks, define risk strategies, and develop the risk management plan.
  • Team participation, understanding work styles, and demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to team goals.
  • Self‑representation of the company and department in a positive and professional manner.
  • Embraces entrepreneurial spirit through recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
  • Project Management certification (PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner) is beneficial but not required.
Work Experience
  • 3 to 5+ years of previous program/project management experience, including scope and requirements definition, problem solving, and process improvements in a current Internet‑based technology environment.
  • Experience successfully leading a project implementation of SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or similar applications.
  • Experience leading and participating in technical and cross‑functional projects.
  • Previous functional/technical HCM, payroll, and financials deployment experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software organization.
  • Experience communicating effectively with different levels of management internally and/or on the client side.
