Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support the Procurement team with daily purchasing and administrative activities. The successful candidate will assist in issuing purchase orders, following up with suppliers, and ensuring supplier documents are complete and up to date in accordance with the company's FSSC 22000 food safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

·      Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and on time.

·      Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations and delivery schedules.

·      Check supplier documents, such as specifications, certificates, declarations, and other required records, to ensure they are complete and valid according to company and FSSC 22000requirements.

·      Follow up with suppliers to obtain missing or updated documents.

·      Maintain and update supplier records and filing systems.

·      Perform data entry and maintain accurate procurement records.

·      Provide general administrative support to the Procurement team.

·      Carry out other duties as assigned by the Purchasing team.

Requirements

·      NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification.

·      Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of purchasing or administrative experience will have an advantage.

·      Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

·      Experience using an ERP(SAP) system is an advantage but not required.

·      Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

·      Able to communicate effectively with suppliers and colleagues.

·      Responsible, willing to learn, and able to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualities

·      Interest in procurement or supply chain operations.

·      Able to follow established procedures and maintain accurate records.

·      Comfortable working in a manufacturing or food production environment.
