We are seeking an experienced Chef De Partie to join the culinary team at Park Inn by Radisson Putrajaya. This is a full-time position based in Kajang, Selangor, where you will take a leadership role within our kitchen brigade, overseeing a specific station and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes. As Chef De Partie, you will be instrumental in maintaining our kitchen's standards, managing your section with precision, and mentoring junior kitchen staff to uphold our commitment to culinary excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a designated kitchen station, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes, portion sizes and presentation guidelines
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, handling and labelling of ingredients
• Monitor stock levels and food inventory within your station, communicating needs to the Head Chef or Sous Chef
• Train, supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff assigned to your section, providing constructive feedback and guidance
• Ensure efficient workflow during service periods, maintaining pace and coordination with other stations
• Assist with menu planning, recipe development and preparation of special dishes as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your station and equipment at all times
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during peak dining periods
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 4-5 years' experience working in a professional kitchen environment, with at least 2 years in a Chef De Partie or similar supervisory role
• Strong culinary skills with expertise in one or more kitchen stations (such as sauce, fish, meat, pastry or vegetable station)
• Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques, seasoning, plating and presentation standards
• Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations and HACCP principles
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and train junior kitchen staff effectively
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks during service
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to consistency and quality
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, particularly during peak service times
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Culinary qualification or relevant professional certification is desirable
• Experience in a hotel or upscale dining environment is advantageous
