We are looking for a hands-on Field Service & Assembly Technician to assemble, install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial equipment. The role involves both workshop-based assembly work and on-site customer support.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical and electrical equipment according to drawings and work instructions.
- Perform wiring, tubing, and mechanical fitting.
- Conduct equipment testing and quality checks.
- Maintain assembly and test records.
- Install equipment at customer sites.
- Perform commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Troubleshoot, resolve equipment issues, carry out preventive maintenance and calibration.
- Prepare service reports after each visit.
- Provide technical support and equipment operation guidance.
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
- Follow company safety procedures and site safety requirements, use tools and equipment safely and correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow company quality standards and procedures.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Job Requirements:
- ITE/Diploma or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronic/Industrial Automation with relevant experience.
- Able to read mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.
- Basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Willing to travel locally and overseas when required.
- Prior experience in equipment assembly, maintenance, or field service will be an additional advantage.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and instrumentation is an advantage.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills.
