Company Description MIE INDUSTRIAL SDN BHD is engaged in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning for major industrial projects, including the EMSB CGC & RD and Ethane Maximizing (EMAX) Projects. The company works with leading industry owners such as Ethylene Malaysia Sdn Bhd and clients like Toyo Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd. Its project scope includes managing complex electrical and instrumentation tender packages from the early stages. The team is involved in detailed electrical design work, strictly following Petronas Technical Specifications and local authority requirements to support safe and efficient petroleum installations.

Job Purpose:

• To support Construction Manager and represents the Company (when required) in project execution and maintains official communication with the Client and other parties.

• To understand project scope and objectives including Client’s Contract terms and condition stated in Contract Document.

• Assisting Project Member to manage all project measurement related matter.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To Project Member in executing the Project base on ITB requirement and to ensure the overall project construction activity are in accordance to relevant ISO Procedure, Project standard working Procedure and Quality Management System.

• To identify and make clear on Project Construction Quantity

• To establish an systematic monitoring system in order to update and monitor Project Construction Bill of Quantity

• To obtain daily construction production form various party and update the construction BQ systematically. 

• To cross check the construction certified quantity with respect to drawing and bill of quantity

• To update to Project Control Manager/ planner on daily certified constructed quantity.

• To update Project team on constructed quantity prior to the subcontractor/vendor’s claim approval.

• To execute the project by working together with a group of Engineering Manager, Procurement Manager, Project Controller, Construction Manager and Commissioning Manager.

• To work with group of project engineer/superintendent, and lead group of supervisors for construction.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying

• Above 5 years relevant and related experience in Quantity Surveying 

• Details ad strong ownership 

• Good in communication skill and coordination skill 

• Able to lead junior quantity surveyor
