Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full set or partial set of accounts, depending on business requirements.
- Prepare and process Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly account reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end and year-end closing.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare financial reports, management reports, and schedules.
- Monitor customer collections and supplier payments.
- Process staff claims, petty cash, and payment vouchers.
- Assist in inventory costing, stock reconciliation, and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary, and government authorities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
- Assist in any ad-hoc finance or administrative duties assigned by management.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing processes will be an advantage.
- Familiar with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of Malaysian accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy and integrity.
- Able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
