Role Summary
Leads cross-functional programs to identify, prioritize, and execute mitigation actions for supply and component risks across the product lifecycle. Ensures mitigation plans (e.g., alternate sourcing, lead time buffers, contractual coverage, inventory strategies) are defined, aligned, and delivered on time with clear accountability and measurable outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive mitigation execution
- Own end-to-end program management of risk mitigation plans across engineering, planning, and procurement
- Translate risk signals into actionable mitigation plans with clear owners, milestones, and deliverables
- Ensure timely execution and closure of mitigation actions across all workstreams
- Cross-functional orchestration
- Align Engineering (alternate source/fab), Planning (safety stock/lead time), and Commodity Management (contractual coverage)
- Resolve gaps, conflicts, and dependencies across functions to maintain forward progress
- Risk identification & prioritization
- Partner with commodity, NPI procurement, and upstream teams to identify supply risks across components/programs
- Prioritize risks based on business impact (revenue, customer commitments, ramp readiness)
- Governance & reporting
- Establish and run weekly governance cadence (status, risks, escalations, decisions)
- Consolidate program-level reporting into clear, executive-ready views
- Standardize formats, KPIs, and messaging across mitigation workstreams
- Performance tracking & accountability
- Define and track KPIs (e.g., mitigation coverage, action closure, cycle time to mitigate)
- Hold cross-functional owners accountable to committed timelines and deliverables
- Continuous improvement
- Refine mitigation frameworks, tools, and ways of working
- Identify systemic gaps and drive structural fixes (process, tools, supplier strategy)
Required:
- Program Management Expertise
- 8–12+ years leading complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders
- Proven ability to drive execution in ambiguous, high-pressure environments
- Industry Experience
- Semiconductor, electronics, storage, or high-tech supply chain experience
- Strong understanding of component-level risks (e.g., capacity, yield, supplier concentration)
- Functional Depth
- Working knowledge of at least two:
- Strategic sourcing / commodity management
- Supply planning / inventory strategy
- NPI / product lifecycle management
- Technical Acumen
- Ability to understand component-level constraints (fab capacity, process nodes, lead times)
- Comfortable engaging engineering teams on alternate sourcing and qualification paths
Skills:
- Execution leadership – Drives actions to closure; not just tracking status
- Systems thinking – Connects sourcing, planning, and contracts into integrated mitigation
- Data-driven decision making – Uses risk signals and KPIs to prioritize and act
- Stakeholder influence – Operates without authority across senior functional leaders
- Structured communication – Delivers concise, executive-ready updates and decision asks
