Job Summary
Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) systems to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ACMV systems including split units, VRV/VRF systems, Air Handling Units (AHU), Fan Coil Units (FCU), package units, and chilled water systems
- Diagnose faults and repair compressors, motors, electrical control panels, thermostats, sensors, and other HVAC components
- Conduct refrigerant leak detection, gas charging, pressure testing, and system performance checks
- Inspect, clean, and replace filters, coils, drain lines, and other system components to maintain system efficiency
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules and safety standards
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime
- Complete accurate service reports, maintenance records, and work documentation
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with customers, contractors, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company procedures during all tasks
Required competencies and certifications
- NITEC/Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, ACMV, or related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience servicing and maintaining ACMV systems
- Ability to work independently and respond to emergency service calls
- Possess Class 3/3A driving licence
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of split units, VRV/VRF systems, AHU, FCU, and chilled water systems
- Familiarity with HVAC troubleshooting, electrical controls, and refrigerant handling
- Good communication and problem-solving skills

- Work schedule: 6 days per week with one weekday off
