About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Environmental Officer to join our team on a contract basis in Jempol Negeri Sembilan. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the Company's operations adhere to all relevant environmental regulations and best practices, playing a crucial part in maintaining our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.

What you'll be doing

• Monitoring and reporting on the Company's environmental performance, including emissions, resource consumption, waste management and pollution control

• Conducting environmental audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement

• Developing and implementing environmental management plans and procedures

• Liaising with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders on environmental compliance matters

• Providing training and guidance to employees on environmental policies and regulations

• Researching and recommending new technologies, processes, and initiatives to enhance the Company's environmental sustainability

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into business decisions 

What we're looking for

• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an environmental officer or similar role, preferably in the construction sector

• Must possessed CEPSWaM, CISWI/CESSWI/CISEC, CIDB Green Card

• Thorough understanding of environmental regulations, policies, and best practices

• Proficiency in conducting environmental assessments, audits, and data analysis

• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement
