Job Overview:

• Responsible to ensure that the factory and the workplace is safe from fire and fire related hazards, consistently inspecting the factory premises, identifying potential fire hazards and thereafter putting in place appropriate fire safety measures. 

• Implement fire exercises and drills on a frequent interval to meet the regulatory standards and requirement

• Report to management potential fire hazards and near misses

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, review, and implement fire protection and fire safety systems.

• Ensure full compliance with Malaysian fire safety regulations, including BOMBA, and relevant local authority requirements.

• Conduct fire risk assessments, audits, and inspections across manufacturing facilities.

• Investigate fire incidents, near misses, and non-compliances; prepare root cause analysis and corrective actions.

• Develop, implement, and maintain Fire Emergency Response Plans and evacuation procedures.

• Plan and conduct fire drills, training, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.

• Responsible to manage safety inspection in the place of business and vendor management.

• Conduct regular training and create/promote awareness on SHE, emergency procedures, workplace safety to all levels of employees.

• To ensure the Process, Safety Management System(PSM) is in place (operating and managing process safety reports).

• Liaise with local authority/regulatory bodies (DOSH, DOE, Bomba, MOH, auditor etc.) on matters pertaining to environment and safety.

• To assist in ISO45001 certification management and follow up.

• To execute and manage the SHE system regulation/procedure.

• Constantly monitoring and responding to safety legislation and revisions.

• Responsible for maintaining safe workplace / facilities and ensure that the factory is incompliance with all Occupational HSE regulatory standards.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent.

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in fire safety engineering, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Experience with fire detection, alarm, sprinkler, suppression, and passive fire protection systems.

• Good understanding of industrial processes and fire hazards.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Candidate fluent in Korean is an added advantage.

• Strong knowledge in Fire Safety system management is preferred.
