Responsibilities
## 1. JOB SUMMARY
The Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily construction activities at the project site to ensure that all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, project schedules, quality requirements, and relevant Malaysian laws, regulations, and applicable industry standards.
The Site Supervisor shall monitor site progress, manpower, materials, workmanship, subcontractors, and site activities while maintaining proper communication and coordination with the Project Manager, Site Manager, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and workers.
## 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
### A. Site Supervision and Construction Works
* Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site.
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved construction drawings, specifications, method statements, work procedures, and project requirements.
* Monitor the progress of construction works and ensure activities are completed according to the approved project programme and schedule.
* Coordinate and supervise workers, subcontractors, and site activities to ensure smooth project execution.
* Inspect ongoing works to ensure proper workmanship and compliance with required quality standards.
* Identify site issues, defects, delays, and non-conformities and report them promptly to the Project Manager or Site Manager.
* Coordinate rectification works and ensure identified defects are properly corrected.
* Ensure proper work sequencing and coordination between different trades and work activities.
### B. Manpower and Resource Management
* Monitor and record daily manpower attendance and workforce deployment.
* Allocate and coordinate manpower according to daily work requirements and priorities.
* Ensure adequate manpower, materials, tools, equipment, and machinery are available for planned site activities.
* Monitor material usage and minimise unnecessary wastage.
* Coordinate with the storekeeper, suppliers, and management regarding material requirements and deliveries.
* Monitor the condition and proper use of tools, equipment, and machinery at site.
### C. Quality Control and Inspection
* Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality requirements.
* Conduct regular inspections of site works and workmanship.
* Coordinate site inspections with the Project Manager, Consultant, Client, QA/QC personnel, and relevant authorities where required.
* Assist in preparing and maintaining inspection records, checklists, photographs, and relevant site documentation.
* Monitor and follow up on outstanding defects, corrective actions, and rectification works.
* Ensure completed works are ready for inspection and approval before proceeding to subsequent activities.
### D. Safety, Health and Environmental Requirements
* Ensure all workers and subcontractors comply with site safety, health, and environmental requirements.
* Maintain good housekeeping and ensure safe access and working conditions at the construction site.
* Immediately report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, accidents, incidents, and potential hazards to the relevant person in charge.
* Cooperate with the Safety and Health Officer / Site Safety Supervisor in implementing site safety requirements.
* Ensure workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow approved safe work procedures.
* Attend toolbox meetings and safety briefings as required.
* Support the implementation of applicable Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements and project-specific safety procedures.
### E. Site Documentation and Reporting
* Prepare and maintain daily site reports and site diary.
* Record daily manpower, work activities, site progress, material deliveries, equipment, and machinery usage.
* Take and maintain progress photographs for site records.
* Monitor and record construction progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager or Site Manager.
* Assist in preparing site measurements, progress records, inspection records, and other relevant documentation.
* Maintain proper records of site instructions, work progress, defects, and corrective actions.
### F. Coordination and Communication
* Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, Site Engineer, QA/QC personnel, Safety personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
* Attend site coordination meetings and provide updates on work progress and site issues when required.
* Communicate daily work instructions and priorities clearly to workers and subcontractors.
* Coordinate work activities to minimise delays, clashes, and disruption between different trades.
* Follow up on outstanding site matters and ensure timely action is taken.
### G. Project Programme and Progress
* Monitor daily and weekly work progress against the approved project schedule.
* Identify potential delays and constraints affecting project progress.
* Report delays, site constraints, material shortages, manpower issues, and other problems to the Project Manager or Site Manager.
* Assist the project team in implementing recovery plans and measures to achieve project targets.
* Ensure daily work activities are properly planned and coordinated to meet project deadlines.
## 3. AUTHORITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
The Site Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that site activities under their supervision are properly coordinated and executed in accordance with approved project requirements, quality standards, safety requirements, and the project schedule.
The Site Supervisor shall immediately escalate any major safety issue, quality concern, construction defect, delay, or technical matter beyond their authority to the Project Manager, Site Manager, or relevant person in charge.
## 4. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Minimum qualification of *SPM / SKM / Certificate / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building, or equivalent**, depending on project requirements.
Minimum *2–3 years of relevant experience** in construction site supervision is preferred.
* Experience in building, civil, structural, architectural, or related construction works will be an advantage.
* Able to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.
* Knowledge of construction work procedures, site coordination, quality requirements, and safety practices.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to communicate in *Bahasa Malaysia and English**.
* Able to supervise workers and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
* Able to work independently and under pressure.
* Willing to work at project sites, including overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required by project needs.
* Willing to travel or work at different project locations in Malaysia when required.
Possession of a valid *CIDB Construction Personnel Registration / CIDB Green Card**, where applicable to the position and project requirements.
Relevant *CIDB accreditation as a Certified Construction Site Supervisor (CSS)** may be required or preferred depending on the scope and requirements of the project.
## 5. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)
* Construction works completed according to the approved project schedule.
* Compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
* Quality of workmanship and reduction of defects and rework.
* Effective manpower and resource coordination.
* Compliance with site safety and environmental requirements.
* Accurate and timely submission of daily site records and reports.
* Effective coordination with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
* Proper control of material usage and minimisation of wastage.
* Timely resolution of site issues and corrective actions.
* Contribution to successful and timely completion of project works.
## 6. GENERAL DUTIES
* Ensure all company policies, project requirements, procedures, and applicable Malaysian laws and regulations are complied with at all times.
Job summary* Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager, Site Manager, or Management from time to time.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
