We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist with a strong understanding of Malaysia's Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) regulations.
You will manage daily expense processing, verify tax documentation, and ensure full compliance with the latest MyInvois e-invoicing framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Processing: Input vendor invoices, receipts, and employee claims into the accounting system with high accuracy.
- Compliance Verification: Validate supplier Tax Identification Numbers (TIN), business registration details, and MSIC codes.
- E-Invoicing Management: Ensure all incoming bills comply with the mandatory LHDN MyInvois submission and validation standards.
- Tax Categorisation: Assign correct general ledger codes based on LHDN tax-deductible versus non-deductible expense criteria.
- Document Audit: Review receipts to ensure they meet official tax invoice standards before releasing payments.
- Record Retention: Maintain an organized digital archiving system to satisfy LHDN’s mandatory 7-year record-keeping rule.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Flag and resolve incomplete, suspicious, or non-compliant expense submissions with internal teams or vendors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in data entry, accounts payable, or expense processing.
- Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of Malaysian tax regulations, including LHDN compliance and e-invoicing guidelines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, SAP, or Xero).
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential financial data.
