About the Role

SOFTWARE ENGINEER (.NET)

Roles & Responsibilities

As part of an agile squad, you will design, develop, and deliver robust .NET solutions that support workflow automation and enterprise applications across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Technical Leads to understand business requirements, product roadmaps, and technical priorities while ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance .NET applications.
• Develop RESTful APIs, backend services, and enterprise applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Build clean, maintainable, and reusable code following software engineering best practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs with web applications.
• Support CI/CD implementation and contribute to DevSecOps initiatives.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment guides.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation, modernization, and process enhancements.
• Mentor junior engineers and actively participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in .NET software development. Candidates with 7+ years will be highly regarded.
• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using:
• C#
• .NET Framework / .NET Core / .NET 6/7/8
• ASP.NET Core
• RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Experience with:
• Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core
• LINQ
• Dependency Injection
• Asynchronous programming
• Experience building modern web applications using one or more of the following:
• ReactJS
• TypeScript
• JavaScript
• HTML5 / CSS3
• Experience with relational databases such as:
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Oracle Database
• PostgreSQL
• Ability to write complex SQL queries and perform production data investigations.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar source control and CI/CD platforms.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), or containerized deployments is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience implementing automated unit, integration, and API testing.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Exposure to cloud-native development on Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Identity Server, OAuth2, JWT, or enterprise authentication mechanisms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployments.
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise systems within banking, finance, insurance, healthcare, logistics, or government sectors.
