We are looking for a Database Administrator to support the development, deployment and operation of mission-critical systems.

You will work closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, Technical Leads and development teams to ensure database performance, availability, security and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Establish database performance baselines and conduct workload testing, including replication, backup and recovery, log shipping, scalability and partitioning.
• Perform database sizing, capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Manage database accounts, user access and data distribution.
• Maintain, monitor and optimise Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB environments.
• Review release notes and perform database upgrades and patching according to maintenance schedules.
• Create and maintain database storage structures, tables, views and indexes.
• Develop database standards, procedures and operational documentation.
• Ensure database services meet established service-level requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Experience in database administration and operations involving Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB.
• Strong knowledge of database design, development and administration in high-volume, large-scale and data-intensive environments.
• Experience with relational and distributed databases.
• Knowledge of high-availability technologies, including clustering and replication.
