• A registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP (MUST have valid Yellow Book)
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in construction site
• Contract based (6 – 12 months)
• Location : Gelang Patah, Johor

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of safety to ensure safe work procedure and practices, conforming to safety rules and regulations and also carry out safety briefing on safety requirement on site.
• To maintain a daily safety log record to include :-

- Assisting with the implementation of HSE plan at project site.

- Assisting with the supervision of site supervisors and ensuring they understand and fulfil their HSE responsibilities;

- Recommending to the supervisors on how to avoid worksite hazards;

- Conduction or coordinating daily site HSE inspections;

- Discussing potentially hazardous processes and operations with site supervisors, workers, visitors and obtaining their cooperation in reducing them as much as possible;

- Informing the safety officer in writing of imminent hazards at the worksite by maintaining a weekly report as the record;

- To conduct periodical Toolbox meeting with the safety officer/Engineers/Supervisors;

- Periodically inspecting hazards, incidents and injury reports, where appropriate action taken to achieve safe working culture and prevent recurrences.

- Informing others of possible hazards by the distribution and circulation of safety information and by appropriate publicity e.g. Signboard, circulars, posters and information centre.

- Assisting the safety officer in any investigation of accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease.

- Assist in safety induction course.
