About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contract Manager / Contract Executive (Post Contract) to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the commercial and contractual administration of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects from contract award through project completion.
The successful candidate will manage contractual obligations, progress claims, variation orders (VO), extension of time (EOT) submissions, final accounts, and subcontract administration while working closely with project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle after contract award.
- Review contract terms and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Prepare, submit, and negotiate progress claims and payment applications.
- Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate Variation Orders (VO).
- Prepare and manage Extension of Time (EOT) submissions with supporting documentation.
- Monitor project costs, contractual milestones, and commercial performance.
- Prepare, negotiate, and finalize project final accounts.
- Administer subcontract agreements, evaluate subcontractor claims, and verify payment recommendations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
- Prepare contractual correspondence, notices, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments to resolve contractual and commercial matters.
- Maintain accurate contract records and ensure proper document control.
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution through effective contract administration.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, contractual requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial and contract management processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience for Contract Executive or 5 years and above for Contract Manager in post-contract administration.
- Experience in M&E, construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of post-contract administration, progress claims, VO, EOT, final accounts, and subcontract management.
- Familiarity with standard forms of construction contracts (e.g. PAM, PWD, FIDIC) is an advantage.
- Good understanding of construction contract law and commercial practices.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with contract management or project management software is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
