Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented IT Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications throughout the development lifecycle. This role involves planning and executing test strategies, identifying and tracking defects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to continuous quality improvements in a fast-paced Agile environment.


Salary Range: RM4,000 - RM6,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, or similar platforms
  • Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on testing progress, quality metrics, and product readiness
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to understand project requirements and deliverables
  • Automate repetitive test cases using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks (optional but preferred)
  • Stay updated on emerging QA trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve the QA process


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in the IT/software development industry
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking systems
  • Familiarity with programming languages for test automation is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes is preferred
