Maintenance Technician (Mechanical & Electrical) — cum Production Support

Company: Banu's Food Group (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd
Location: SILC Industrial Park, Iskandar Puteri, Johor
Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm
Salary: RM 1,800–2,400 (based on experience & skills)
Reports to: Production Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on food processing machinery — slicers, dicers, washing lines, conveyors, cup/tray sealers, weighing/scaling equipment and cold room units.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on machines: control panels, motors, sensors, contactors, and internal wiring.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule and equipment logbook.
• Manage basic spare-parts inventory and coordinate with external vendors for major repairs or servicing.
• Support production line work (packing, line operation, general duties) when no maintenance work is required.
• Assist with deliveries, parts collection, and goods transport when required.
• Uphold food safety (HACCP/GMP), hygiene, housekeeping, and workplace safety standards at all times.

Requirements

• SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience, ideally in food processing or manufacturing.
• Practical electrical knowledge; a wiring/chargeman certificate is an advantage.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Valid GDL (Goods Driving Licence) is an added advantage.
• Willing and able to take on hands-on production work during quieter maintenance periods.
• Comfortable working in a cold, wet processing environment.
• Reliable, proactive, and hands-on — with ownership and a positive attitude.

Pay: RM1,850.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
