Position: Assistant Warehouse Manager

1. Warehouse Operations

· Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations.

· Ensure all inbound and outbound cargo is handled efficiently and accurately.

· Monitor receiving, storage, picking, stuffing, unstuffing, and dispatch activities.

· Ensure cargo is stored according to FIFO/FEFO or customer requirements.

2. Inventory Management

· Monitor inventory accuracy and conduct regular cycle counts.

· Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

· Ensure timely updating of Warehouse Management System (WMS) records.

3. Staff Supervision

· Supervise warehouse supervisors, forklift drivers, and warehouse assistants.

· Prepare manpower planning and daily work allocation.

· Monitor staff attendance, overtime, productivity, and discipline.

· Conduct on-the-job training for warehouse personnel.

4. Safety & Compliance

· Ensure compliance with company SOPs, customer requirements, and safety regulations.

· Promote a safe working environment and proper use of PPE.

· Investigate warehouse incidents and implement preventive measures.

· Ensure good housekeeping (5S) is maintained throughout the warehouse.

5. Equipment & Facility Management

· Monitor the condition of forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, racking systems, and warehouse facilities.

· Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair activities.

· Report equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize operational disruptions.

6. Customer Service

· Coordinate closely with customers, transporters, shipping lines, and internal departments.

· Handle customer enquiries and operational issues promptly.

· Ensure all service requirements and KPIs are achieved.

7. Transport Coordination

· Coordinate haulage, container movements, and shunting activities.

· Ensure timely delivery and collection of containers.

· Monitor truck turnaround time and optimize transport scheduling.

8. Documentation & Reporting

· Verify warehouse documents, including Delivery Orders (DO), Goods Received Notes (GRN), inventory reports, and billing records.

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

· Assist in cost control and warehouse performance analysis.

9. Quality & Continuous Improvement

· Monitor warehouse KPIs such as:

o Inventory Accuracy

o On-Time Delivery

o Loading/Unloading Productivity

o Container Turnaround Time

o Cargo Damage Rate

o Safety Performance

· Identify operational improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

10. Pest Control & Housekeeping

· Coordinate and monitor scheduled pest control services to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic warehouse environment.

· Ensure regular inspections are conducted to prevent infestation by rodents, insects, termites, and other pests.

· Follow up on corrective actions and ensure timely rectification of any pest-related findings.

· Maintain pest control records, service reports, and compliance documentation for customer and regulatory audits.

· Work closely with appointed pest control contractors to ensure treatment schedules are completed as planned.

· Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards (5S) are maintained at all times to minimize pest risks and improve operational efficiency.

Requirement:

- Possess at least a Diploma / Degree in any field.

- Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia.

- Proficient in MS Office.

- Relevant working experience in the related field is an added advantage.

- Able to handle stress and pressure.

- Positive attitude, passionate on collaborative teamwork, excel at interpersonal skills.

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
