Responsibilities

What you need to do:

Strategic Roles

  • Define supplier strategies, manage supplier and negotiate credit terms
  • Conduct sourcing and evaluation of new products local and overseas
  • Introduce performance improvement measures for suppliers and vendors
  • Develop and manage purchasing variances to meet profit objectives
  • Monitor and reduce purchase variances
  • Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes

Managing Roles

  • Establish and implement purchasing policies, procedures and best practices
  • Maintain ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
  • Oversee operations and daily activities of purchasing department
  • Manage performance, develop and motivate purchasing staff
  • Manage reporting of purchasing data, analysis and related projections

Purchasing Roles

  • Identify and source new suppliers
  • Manage supplier selection process
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers
  • Establish and update an approved supplier database
  • Measure and manage the supplier cost, quality and delivery performance
  • Oversee supplier compliance
  • Troubleshoot cost, quality and delivery concerns
  • Facilitate timely placement of purchase orders
  • Work with relevant departments to manage inventory requirements
  • Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance

Requirements

What we need from you:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in business, procurement, supply chain, logistics, or any related field
  • At least 1 year purchasing experience in F&B industry
  • Working experience of relevant software
