Role Description The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, focusing on organizations seeking sustainable, mycelium-based packaging and materials solutions. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting market research, preparing and delivering sales presentations, and managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through negotiation and closing. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners, collaborating with technical and product teams to align solutions with customer needs, and contributing to go-to-market strategies and pricing proposals. The Business Development Executive will also track pipeline activities, prepare regular performance reports, and represent Bina BioX at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings. This is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur.
Qualifications
- Strong business development, sales, and account management skills, with experience in B2B environments and partnership building.
- Knowledge of sustainability, ESG, or green technologies, ideally with exposure to materials science, packaging, or related industries.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze trends, and translate insights into actionable commercial strategies and proposals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and basic productivity software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation tools) to manage pipeline and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving startup setting and interest in advancing sustainable materials innovation.
