- Own the cyber risk agenda, working closely with security and technology functions to understand the threat landscape and ensure exposures are appropriately monitored and escalated
- Establish and mature the organisation's approach to AI risk, including governance over the use of AI and machine learning across the business, and staying ahead of the evolving regulatory landscape in this space
- Develop and maintain risk frameworks, policies, and standards that support consistent identification, measurement, and reporting of technology-related risk
- Provide independent oversight and challenge on technology risk matters, partnering with technology and business teams without compromising objectivity
- Lead risk assessments on major technology change, transformation programmes, and third-party or vendor arrangements
- Prepare and present risk reporting and insights to senior management and relevant governance forums, translating technical risk into business impact
- Monitor the regulatory environment relevant to technology, cyber, and AI risk, and ensure the organisation's practices remain aligned to expectations
- Build and lead a team of risk professionals, setting direction, developing capability, and embedding a strong risk culture
- Act as a key point of contact for technology risk matters in engagements with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders
About You
- Substantial experience in a technology risk, cyber risk, or IT risk leadership role, ideally within financial services or another highly regulated industry
- Strong working knowledge of technology and cyber risk frameworks, with the ability to translate these into practical, business-relevant risk management practices

- A track record of engaging confidently with senior stakeholders, including at executive and board level
- Experience building or leading a team, with strong people leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distil complex technical risk issues for a non-technical audience
- Sound judgement and the ability to provide independent, objective challenge
- Experience interacting with regulators or supporting regulatory engagements is an advantage
