Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to assist the kitchen team in food preparation and daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should be willing to learn, maintain high standards of food quality, and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to company standards to ensure consistent quality and presentation
• Accurately prepare and portion ingredients to support daily kitchen operations
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and workstations to meet sanitation standards
• Store and handle food ingredients properly to preserve freshness and ensure food safety
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures consistently to comply with health regulations
• Execute assigned kitchen tasks efficiently to support senior chefs and maintain workflow
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef to support kitchen operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar kitchen role
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques applied in a professional kitchen
• Passion for cooking and eagerness to learn new culinary skills
• Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
