Our client, a leading multinational electronics manufacturing company is currently looking for a Tooling Engineer.
Location: Marsiling Road
Responsibilities:
- Lead tooling-related continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mould reliability, operational efficiency, and manufacturing performance.
- Develop and implement annual tooling improvement plans to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reduce cycle time, scrap, and tooling-related downtime.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Tooling Engineers, Toolmakers, and technical teams while driving best practices in tooling engineering.
- Lead complex tooling investigations, root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop tooling standards, engineering procedures, and support strategic tooling technology improvements.
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives to improve tooling reliability and reduce recurring mould failures.
- Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM), mould design reviews, tooling qualification, and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
Requirements:
- Degree, Diploma, or recognised apprenticeship in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of tooling experience in injection moulding or precision manufacturing.
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement programmes and tooling optimisation projects.
- Strong knowledge of mould design, tooling maintenance, reliability engineering, and root cause analysis.
- Experience in medical device, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Possess good communication, analytical and project management skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
