A Class 4 Delivery Driver operates medium to heavy-duty trucks for the safe and timely delivery of goods. The role emphasizes compliance with traffic laws, proper cargo handling, and coordination with logistics teams.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Delivery
Safely operate Class 4 trucks for scheduled deliveries across Singapore.
Ensure goods are loaded securely and delivered according to client instructions.
Handle both local and regional routes when required.
Cargo Handling
Assist with loading/unloading of pallets, cartons, or bulky items.
Verify delivery orders and obtain proper documentation (DOs, PODs).
Follow site-specific delivery protocols (e.g., restrictions on pallet jacks, dock access).
Vehicle Maintenance
Conduct daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, lights, fluids).
Report mechanical issues promptly and schedule servicing.
Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the truck.
Compliance & Safety
Adhere to traffic regulations and company SOPs.
Observe safety practices during loading/unloading.
Record and report incidents, delays, or delivery disputes.
Communication & Reporting
Coordinate with dispatchers and supervisors on delivery progress.
Provide updates to clients when necessary.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
Requirements
Valid Class 4 Driving Licence (Singapore).
At least 2 years of driving/delivery experience preferred.
Familiarity with Singapore roads and traffic regulations.
Physically fit to handle cargo when required.
Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious.
