Job Description
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing the Company's accounting and payroll functions while ensuring compliance with Malaysian financial and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full set of accounts including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL).
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Process supplier invoices, staff claims and payment vouchers.
- Prepare payment schedules and online banking transactions.
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.
- Process monthly payroll accurately using SQL Payroll Software.
- Prepare statutory submissions including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and HRDC.
- Prepare SST-related documents where applicable.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary and government authorities.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial analysis.
- Maintain fixed asset register.
- Prepare journal entries and month-end closing.
- Assist with annual audit and tax filing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Malaysian accounting standards.
- Perform any other accounting or administrative duties assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage.
Technical Knowledge
- Good knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience handling full set of accounts.
- Experience processing monthly payroll.
- Familiar with SQL Accounting and SQL Payroll Software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
- Knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements including:
- EPF
- SOCSO
- EIS
- PCB (Income Tax)
- Familiar with month-end and year-end closing.
