We are looking for a responsible and organised Store Supervisor to manage daily store and warehouse activities for our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory, timely material movement, safe storage and effective team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily receiving, inspection coordination, storage, picking, issuing and transfer of raw materials, components, packaging and finished goods.
- Ensure all inventory movements are recorded accurately and promptly in the ERP or inventory system.
- Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts, stock checks and scheduled physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure materials are clearly identified, traceable and stored in the correct location using FIFO or other approved stock-rotation methods.
- Coordinate material supply to Production and finished-goods movement to support production and delivery schedules.
- Maintain good housekeeping, proper storage conditions and safe use of forklifts, pallet jacks, racks and other warehouse equipment.
- Supervise, train and allocate work to storekeepers, material handlers and forklift drivers.
- Monitor damaged, rejected, obsolete and slow-moving stock and coordinate the required action with Quality, Purchasing, Production and management.
- Prepare inventory and operational reports and support internal, customer and external audits.
Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 3 to 5 years of store or warehouse experience in manufacturing, including supervisory experience.
- Good knowledge of inventory control, receiving, material issuing, stock rotation, cycle counting and warehouse documentation.
- Experience using ERP, warehouse management or inventory systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership, planning, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work on the warehouse floor, handle operational priorities and support overtime or shift requirements when necessary.
- Valid forklift certification or practical forklift experience will be an added advantage.
- Good written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia; ability to communicate in English is preferred.
- Ability to communicate in Japanese will be an added advantage.
