Hovid Berhad is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Engineer / Senior Maintenance Engineer to support the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while maintaining compliance with GMP and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation systems to support uninterrupted production.
• Monitor machine performance and implement improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and equipment efficiency.
• Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and continuous improvement projects.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance records, SOPs, and engineering documentation.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate spare parts inventory, vendor services, and maintenance schedules.
• Provide technical guidance and support to production teams and mentor maintenance technicians where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, PLCs, and industrial automation.
• Good understanding of GMP and engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and support after-office-hour maintenance activities when required.
