Fortress Mining Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our mining and resources operations through comprehensive analysis and reporting of mechanical and electrical systems. As a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and efficiency of our mining equipment and electrical infrastructure. Your work will directly impact operational reliability, cost management, and project delivery across our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct detailed analysis and reporting on mechanical and electrical equipment performance, efficiency, and maintenance requirements
• Design, develop, and implement solutions for mechanical and electrical systems to enhance operational efficiency and safety standards
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and documentation for mining operations, including feasibility studies and system performance evaluations
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify equipment issues, troubleshoot problems, and recommend corrective actions
• Monitor and analyse equipment condition data, utilising predictive maintenance strategies to minimise downtime
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental requirements for all mechanical and electrical systems
• Participate in procurement processes by evaluating and specifying mechanical and electrical equipment and components
• Support capital projects from conception through implementation, providing technical expertise and engineering oversight
• Maintain accurate records and databases of equipment specifications, maintenance schedules, and performance metrics
• Liaise with external contractors and vendors regarding equipment installations, upgrades, and technical support

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, preferably in the mining, resources, or energy sector
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and equipment used in mining operations
• Proficiency in technical analysis, data interpretation, and the ability to produce clear and concise technical reports
• Experience with engineering software and CAD tools for design and analysis purposes
• Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations applicable to mining operations
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Professional certification (PE, CEng, or equivalent) is advantageous
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance and condition monitoring technologies is preferred
• Familiarity with mining industry best practices and operational procedures is a plus

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
