JOB TITLE- Veterinary Nurse ( Diagonstic Image, Consultation, Pharmacy & Lab)
Reporting To- Managing Director

JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Assisting Veterinarian: Support the veterinarian during consultations and treatments. Assist the veterinarian with feeding medications, and performing medical procedures (e.g., blood collection and patient restraint).

2*. Room Preparation*: Ensure that the consultation room, laboratory, X-ray, and pharmacy area are clean, organized, and ready for use.

3*. Laboratory Work: *Carry out laboratory work, including run the tests (blood, urine, etc) and send the result to the veterinarian on duty.

4. Drug Inventory Management: Record and maintain drug books in compliance with KKM requirements.

5*. Drugs Management: *Organize and manage drugs and stock, including conducting stock takes in the consultation room and pharmacy area.

6. Inventory Management: Organize and manage retail items, drugs and consumable stock, including stock takes in the consultation room, pharmacy, laboratory and X-ray room.

7. Device Care: Ensure the proper care and maintenance of medical devices, such as microscopes, blood machines, X-ray machine, Ultrasound machine, Lazer machine etc.

8. Side Corridor Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in the side corridor, including cleaning up in case of animal accidents (urine or feces) during consulting hours.

9. Clinic Maintenance: Mop and sweep tile flooring, for pharmacy area and consultation rom before the end of the working day.

10. Trash Disposal: Dispose of trash from all bins in the pharmacy area, X-ray room and consultation room to the garbage bin in the kennel area at the end of the operating day.

11. Medicine Dispensing: Assist in dispensing medication according to the veterinarian's prescriptions.

12. Emergency Handling: Capable of managing emergency situations and handling required medications and supplies.

General Duties & Requirements:

• Kennel & Cage Cleaning: Ensure kennels and cages are washed and sanitized regularly.
• Litter Box Maintenance: Clean and sanitize litter boxes for both patients and residents.
• Feeding & Water Bowls: Wash and refill feeding and water bowls (for both patients and residents).
• Towel Washing: Wash and maintain towels for animal care.
• Refill Food & Litter: Refill food and cat litter as needed.
• Feed Resident Cats: Feed and provide care for resident cats.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure that both the downstairs and upstairs areas are clean and tidy.
• Trash Disposal: Dispose of trash from all bins and ensure cleanliness at the end of the operating day.
• Animal Observation: Observe in-house animals for abnormalities and report any concerns.
• Restraint: Safely restrain animals during examinations and procedures.
• Medication Preparation: Prepare medications for both outpatients and inpatients.
• Room Cleaning: Clean tables before and after consultations and surgeries in both consultation and surgery rooms.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and record the vital signs of patients.
• Assisting the Veterinarian: Assist the veterinarian during medical procedures.
• Basic Care: Provide essential care such as feeding, hydration, medication, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Injection Administration: Administer injections as required.
• Preparation for Procedures: Understand what needs to be prepared for each procedure.
• Knowledge of Clinic Supplies: Be familiar with the location and names of clinic supplies and equipment.
• Admission & Discharge: Admit and discharge patients as per the veterinarian’s instructions and explain medications to the owners.
• Consumables Management: Ensure all consumables are replenished when stock is low (e.g., cut and folded gauze, table disinfectant spray, etc.).
• Toilet maintenance: Clean the toilet every Sunday (take turns based on the Sunday night duty schedule) and replenish toilet paper when needed.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
